| Challenge |
To deploy a $2.5 million radio frequency (RF) scanning
system at 12 Delta hub cities, to be utilized for baggage
and cargo tracking. |
| Solution |
PM Technologies staff, working closely with Delta and
numerous vendors, was responsible for the overall program
management of this project. PM Technologies responsibilities
included design team coordination, construction management,
coordination of hardware procurement and installment and
systems start-up and check-out. The RF scanning system
included installation of antennas, transceivers, portable
RF devices and installation of network control units.
The system was coordinated with an existing token ring
local area network. |
