| Challenge |
To deploy new computer systems for passenger handling,
baggage, flight control and Voice over IP (VoIP) for the
new $4B Terminal. The systems included all network and
PC hardware, as well as software development and integration
for windows XP platform. |
| Solution |
PMT provided on site project management resources to
develop a Project Management Office (PMO) for this complex,
multi-year project. Through the PMO, PMT managed the provisioning,
installation and user acceptance testing of all hardware
and software. PMT managed systems integration and testing
of passenger processing systems with Flight Information
Display Systems (FIDS), VoIP and baggage handling systems.
PMT was to focal point for airline systems integration
into the project , managing the WAN deployment, systems
integration and testing for the airlines.
PMT worked closely with multiple construction teams
to enable systems deployment to commence as soon as
construction areas were ready. This close planning and
integration ensured an on time opening of the new terminal. |
