Harper Partners, Inc., Team Awarded Design/Management Services Contract At Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport

July 15, 2003 (Atlanta, Ga.) – The architectural firm of Harper Partners, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia was selected today as the Architectural & Engineering Services Team for the Hartsfield Development Program “Focus on the Future.” The City of Atlanta / Department of Aviation announced the selection of the Harper Partners team in Atlanta this morning after weeks of deliberation, with proposals and presentations submitted by some of the country’s leading aviation architectural and engineering firms.

Harper Partners has assembled a team of extensively experienced professionals to provide superior project team management for all projects undertaken by the firm. Collectively, the Harper Partners team provides unparalleled professional qualifications for airlines and airport authorities. The team of consultants assembled by Harper Partners for this major undertaking includes PM Technologies, The Architecture Group, CDG / Telesis, Costing Services Group, R. Powell & Associates, Harrington Engineers and Jones Worley Design, all Georgia-based companies. The team will also involve the collaboration of Counter Terror Design, Inc., a Miami, Fla.-based security design firm.

The project awarded to Harper Partners team forms part of the 10-Year Capital Improvement Program within the Airport Master Plan for the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport (HAIA). The contract selection of Harper Partners team is within the context of the overall HAIA program which is the largest public works project in the history of the State of Georgia. Harper Partners will provide technical, professional, architectural and engineering services for the huge airport improvement program designed to satisfy not only current aviation demand at Hartsfield but also the forecasted growth expected at the Atlanta facility. Hartsfield is currently the world’s busiest airport and has consistently ranked as one of the highest rated airports in North America for airport performance and customer service. The airport is home to the largest, single airline hubbing operation in the world, operated by Delta Air Lines.


The HAIA contract is expected to provide more than 100 projects for the Harper Partners architectural firm over a period of 5 to 10 years, resulting in several hundred million dollars in construction volume. Various multi-year projects anticipated within the program award include renovation, improvements, and expansions within the North and South Terminals and Concourses A, B, C, D, E and T. In total, the Hartsfield Atlanta Airport includes over 5 million square feet and over 250 gates.


PM Technologies, Inc. will provide program/project management for the design and construction initiatives under the contract. PM Technologies will be responsible for ensuring the projects are complete on-time, on-budget and in accordance with quality standards.
