The Challenge
To integrate project management best practices in a global information technology service provider’s organization to improve delivery timeframes and enhance delivery quality.
The Solution
PMT provided project management expertise to integrate project management best practices with existing service delivery processes. PMT met with personnel from several different delivery organizations to document existing processes. The process were analyzed for roadblocks and hand-offs to other groups within SITA. PMT improved the processes by implementing PM standard documents and process to overcome obstacles. PM tools and templates were implemented to enhance standardization of product delivery across different groups. All project management and service delivery processes were web-enabled on a company intranet site to ensure access and ease of use to all SITA project managers.
The Impact
PMT was able to document and improve existing service delivery processes and ensure standardization of project management practices across different service delivery groups collaborating on complex projects.
