Benton Energy is a leading gas distribution and pipeline contractor in designing, building, and testing pipeline construction across the United States. Benton needed a system to track project costs and schedules among new regions and programs to provide visibility to the management team.

Benton engaged PMT to assess the current level of cost and schedule controls, we recommended, and then develop processes for standardizing budget and schedule data across multiple regions and programs. Our team developed a reporting system allowing project cost and schedule data to be “rolled up” across the company providing the Benton executive team valuable data required for informed decision-making.  Reports were automated to provide real-time information regarding project status, issues, and changes.

Benton was able to drastically improve project cost and schedule performance based on the PMT developed processes. Benton was also able to control project scope more effectively and better justify change orders to project owners, increasing Benton’s profitability.
