PM Technologies (PMT), was contracted to manage the consolidation and the migration of over 3000 Intel and Unix servers to a 3rd party service provider in order to reduce costs, to improve hardware capabilities, and to sunset legacy applications for this $200M project. Our project team provided program and project management leadership to coordinate the migration of ING servers and business applications to an outsourced hosting and IT services provider.
Working with application owners, PMT also managed the decommission of 1200+ servers in the legacy environment.
PMT executed proven project management processes to establish and to manage an aggressive and complex deployment schedule.
Our team worked directly with application owners to perform UAT and ensure functionality.
Our client gained a significant reduction in their server footprint with increased storage capability. Additionally, they received improved security and upgraded data center facilities. PMT documented IT standards that allowed for technical future growth and operational support.
